"Transmission Through Transformation" at Kunsthalle Mainz

Abstract :

From 25 to 27 January 2024, the Kunsthalle Mainz hosted a three-day programme with artist talks, panel discussions and performances. With "transmission through transformation" as the guiding principle, the programme explores practices of change that reactivate interrupted streams of knowledge and understand cultural work as a continuous process of reinterpretation. The programme takes place during the exhibition "Unextractable: Sammy Baloji invites" at the Kunsthalle Mainz.
