La Villa Hermosa was founded in 2009 by Ayoh Kré Duchâtelet and Lionel Maes. Raphaëlle Lasausse and Thy Nguyên Truong Minh joined the studio in 2021. The studio is devoted to a practice-based research on program and editorial design with a focus on issues related to languages, collaborative practices and methodologies raised by research evolving between the art field and social sciences. Whether in self-initiated projects or commissioned works, La Villa Hermosa explores what digital technologies and visual media produce in terms of uses and practices in their socio-political contexts. In the reconnecting project, La Villa Hermosa team accompanies the researchers in shaping their reflections, whether through the development of digital tools, visualizations or the implementation of exchange and discussion protocols.
